Certified Medical Assistant
Location: Eugene, Oregon
Status: Full Time or Part Time
Hours: 20-40 Hours Per Week
Days: Vary - Monday - Saturday

The position will be responsible for providing patient care services in the office setting under the direction of the Provider. These duties include, but are not limited to, assisting the provider, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care under direct supervision and performing injections, medication administration, vitals, weight measurements, BMI measurements
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interview patients to obtain medical information, accurately record medications and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.
Giving injections
Document basic patient care and procedures on patients utilizing appropriate forms and electronic medical records.
Answer phones on the third ring if front desk is detained.
Properly handle and dispose of sharps.
Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the provider.
Prepare charts for next day appointments
Assisting Customers/Patients with Food Sales
Knowledge of Food Products within the Monarch Store
Stocking and rotating products to insure freshness
Product Inventory
Prompt and reliable attendance.
Seek out opportunities to help rather than waiting to be asked.
Active participation in staff meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reminder calls for appointments; follow up calls to patients.
Answer phones and fax medical records.
Request outside records in a timely manner from primary care and specialist offices.
Assist other team members in the performance of their assignments.
Consider the impact of your actions on Team Members throughout the system.
Take direction and initiate actions (cross/additional training) that will allow the assumption of cross-functional duties to ensure seamless patient care.
Demonstrate flexibility to perform duties wherever volume deems it necessary within the system.(The demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential responsibilities of this job.)
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to sit, stand, bend and stoop for periods of time.
Ability to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally.
