CSB Oregon (csboregon.org) is looking for reliable caregivers to provide one on one companionship to individuals with disabilities throughout the eugene/springfield area. Jobs may involve driving, personal care, exercise, getting them out in the community or helping them with chores around their homes. must be able to lift/transfer individuals. must clear background check and have clean driving record. must have car. we reimburse for mileage at .58/mile when using car for work. Medical insurance benefits available after 90 day probationary period to those working over 30 hrs/week. The following direct care shifts/ positions are available.
We are currently have an opening for a live-in caregiver in south/west eugene. work in exchange for free room and board and some wage depending on how much you work outside of sleeping hours.
Individual is a male in a wheelchair and needs physical assistance in most tasks. He also likes to get out in the community when he can. Does some physical therapy exercises at home and has a nice home and yard to relax in.
depending on applicants there may be a second roommate to share the responsibilities and then day staff to come in and take him to work and out in the community, so daytimes you would be "off work" knowledge of medications helpful. Must be able to lift and transfer individuals. must be able to drive.
Ideal applicants will be self motivated and have excellent communication skills and good professional boundaries.
