Oregon Medical Group is a growing, multi-specialty practice that includes over 700 dedicated providers and staff at multiple locations within the Eugene/Springfield area. We are physician owned and directed, and focused on serving our expanding patient base.Responsibilities:
Prepare patient for examination and treatment by documenting chief complaints
Obtain patient histories and vital signs, recording accurately in the electronic medical record system
Assist with patient exams, procedures, and collection of specimens
Retrieve lab and radiology test results
Instruct patients regarding medications and treatment per physician’s instructions
Understand and interpret current immunization schedule; administer injections safely
Stock supplies and prepare exam rooms and instruments for exams, testing or minor surgeries
Respond to incoming phone calls and refer if necessary
Call patients as necessary to follow up and/or schedule appointmentsRequirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
MA certification from the AAMA, NCCT, or RMA, OR the ability to obtain certification within 60 days of hire date
Healthcare provider level CPR certification required
2-3 years of relevant experience strongly preferred
Skill in taking vital signs and maintaining medical records & recording test results
Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with physicians, patients, and coworkers
Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations
