I am a 37 year old man, who has a terminal diagnosis of Chronic Pancreatitis, along with permanent 'Pancreatic Insufficiency'. Which essentially means that my pancreas is in really bad shape and is only operating at about 25%-30% at this point. My pancreas will ultimately fail completely, which will be terminal when it occurs.
I am currently not permitted to work and am on long term disability. I have a need to go to and from medical appointments, the ER, and assistance picking up prescriptions. I have a car that can be used, but because of the medications I'm on I am not supposed to be driving.
I also need the occasional help staying fed and hydrated, but the biggest concern for me is that I have someone available. Someone that will answer their phone and will take me to the ER when I need to go, and not leave me to be passed out in a puddle of my own vomit.
I am open to discussing the arrangement and would want to interview any perspective candidates. The person doesn't necessarily need to be a licensed nurse, again i just need someone who can assist me with day to day activities. I would estimate that I won't ever have days with more than 2 hours or so of work.
Along with free room and board, I'd provide groceries for the selected person as well as provide a weekly cash salary.
