General Description - Psychiatric Services Coordinator:

The Psychiatric Services Coordinator is responsible for the supervision, oversight, and training of licensed medical professional (LMP) support staff and coordination of support staff services with all Options clinics. Develops protocols and workflow processes to ensure efficient, comprehensive LMP support. Will work effectively as part of an integrative care team supporting individuals and families in accessing behavioral health and psychiatric care as needed. Provides oversight to the LMP support team members.

General Description - Medical Administrative Assistant:

The primary responsibility of the Medical Administrative Assistant (MAA) is to provide support to psychiatric providers, including assisting with triaging phone calls, collecting vitals, tracking due dates, maintaining client files, providing client support between appointments, tracking caseload data, and other administrative duties. The Medical Administrative Assistant also provides general administrative support for provision of psychiatric services, including assisting with organizing tasks and projects, and maintaining client information.

Required Qualifications:

Two or more years of experience supervising staff in a medical, counseling, or psychiatry office or setting. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Options requires that all staff members have respectful, open, unbiased, and accepting attitudes toward clients, their families, and other staff. Will be required to complete and pass a DHS background check and/or fingerprinting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Qualifying as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) is preferred and may include one or more of the following:

Current QMHA-C (Qualified Mental Health Associate) certification

Registering as a QMHA-R, Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA-R) with the State of Oregon;

Requirements include:

Provide a valid State ID

Have a Bachelors degree in a behavioral science or its equivalency (a combination of college credits, training, experience hours)

Successful completion of a preliminary competency assessment

Affirmation of the Oregon Behavioral Health Code of Conduct, and additional steps as required.

Once registered, working toward C-QMHA certification is required.

Experience with an Electronic Health Record. Certification or experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) or Medical Office Assistant (MOA) is preferred.
