Oregon Supported Living Program is currently looking for an Assistant Manager for one of our 24 hour group homes here in Eugene. OSLP is the leader in Lane County in providing support to adults with developmental disabilities through a variety of services. Our programs include 18 group homes providing 24 hour support, a Supported Living Program, the Community Inclusion and Employment Department, and our groundbreaking Arts & Culture Program which provides a creative and integrated environment for those with an artistic interest.

As an Assistant Manager you will fill a dual role as a Direct Support Professional providing support for the individuals living in the home as well as Assistant Manager responsibilities which include participating on the Safety Committee and being the site point person for all Safety related issues, managing household inventory and grocery shopping, complete periodic quality assurance reports and financial audits, and act as a liaison between the direct support staff and group home manager.

Weekly schedule varies depending on the home. There will be occasional overtime.

Essential Job Functions include but not limited to:

Provide support to help develop and maintain personal relationships, ensure the people we support are treated with dignity and respect, and have the opportunity to exercise personal choice.

Ability to develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with the people we support and all team members.

Ensure completion of documentation and data collection in a timely manner.

Identify, perform, and report routine (monthly and quarterly) home health and vehicle safety hazards/safety checks, and maintenance/repair requests.

Perform all necessary personal care, hygiene, physical support, and daily living needs. Assist in training new staff as required.

Follow Individual Support Plans, Behavior Support Plans, and established protocols consistently as written

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Valid Oregon Drivers' License or the ability to obtain one upon hire

At least 3 years as a licensed driver

Ability to pass a state mandated criminal history background check.

Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

2-3 years' experience providing direct support to individuals in a group home or healthcare setting and/or supervisory or leadership experience.

Physical Requirements include but not limited to:

Continuous standing, walking, bending, squatting, and sitting throughout the shift. Change positions frequently.

Must be able to lift between 10-45 lbs. Actual lifting requirement dependent on which program the DSP is assigned to work.

Frequently and independently push/pull people supported during dressing, transferring or positioning. If in home with people who use wheelchairs, frequently and independently push/pull wheelchairs or lifting equipment.
