About the Program

McKenzie Ridge (est. 2019) is a state-licensed, Secure Residential Treatment Facility that serves up to 8 (eight) individuals living with a Serious Mental Illness, who have been charged with a crime, but determined to be unable to aid and assist in their own defense. Clients receive residential services, mental health treatment, and a combination of education and skills training necessary to best facilitate their return to capacity.

Position Details

We have one Full-Time opening (Swing) and one Part-Time opening (NOC) for Residential Associate positions at our McKenzie Ridge program in Junction City, Oregon. You will have an opportunity to specify your shift preference on our online application. If you have experience working as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Residential Assistant (RA), Residential Counselor, Skills Trainer, or Caregiving for a client experiencing severe mental illness, then this position might be a good fit for you.

Work Schedules: Tuesday-Saturday 3:00 pm-11:30 pm (F/T Swing), Saturday & Sunday, 9:00pm - 7:30am (P/T NOC)

This position requires that applicants have the ability to work as a member of a direct care team serving adults with severe and persistent mental illness; to support the development of life skills and therapeutic interventions; perform housekeeping and meal preparation; medication administration; and keep accurate clinical documentation. In addition, you will receive crisis de-escalation training, which requires performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques.

Qualifications

MUST be QMHA Certified through Mental Health & Addictions Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO)

State of Oregon QMHA credentials criteria:

a) Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science: Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or Human Development;

b) OR minimum 6,000 HOURS verifiable mental health experience working with Severe Persistent Mental Illness population in a supervised social service setting;

c) OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in addition to satisfactory supplemental mental health experience and training

Successful applicants MUST also have a valid Oregon driver’s license, maintain a safe driving record, and the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.

Pay & Benefits

Starting at $16.00 per hour/DOE and QMHA credentials. An additional $1.50 per hour graveyard shift differential will apply during the work hours of 10:00pm - 6:00am. ColumbiaCare offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, which includes: medical, dental, and vision coverage; a wellness reimbursement program; substantial sick and vacation accruals (12 days per year each); once eligible, nine (9) paid holidays, and a 403(b) plan with a generous 6% company match immediately vested. For Part-Time employees: Medical/Dental/Vision coverage for employees working 30 hours a week. All Part-Time/On-Call hourly employees receive time and a half when working a holiday and are eligible to receive up to 5 days of sick time and up to 12 days of vacation per year (accruals earned are based on hours worked).
