Founded in 2010, SC Labs is an analytical laboratory that performs a variety of testing for the rapidly expanding cannabis sector. With facilities in Tigard, Oregon, and Northern CA, SC Labs continues to thrive.

We are seeking to add to our collaborative team environment and currently have an opening for a Sampler in our Oregon region. This position is responsible for conducting sampling(obtaining a representation of a client's product) with the ability to safely and securely transport the samples and relevant documentation back to our Tigard lab for testing.

Must be comfortable working with and around cannabis, as well as cannabis infused products.

All employment offers will be contingent upon successful completion of a background check, to include a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and must have a clear DMV driving record to proceed.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow all internal laboratory and State regulations while taking samples and driving to and from the laboratory/clients' sampling site.

• Interact with customers during sample collection and submission.

• Coordinate with Manager of Field Operations, as well as, Customer Service Account Managers to maximize sample collection.

• Strive to maximize driving route efficiency.

• Maintain records of samples and transportation data per relevant procedures.

• Maintain sampling supply/equipment inventory.

• Complete vehicle operational logs and minor maintenance as needed.

• Follow good documentation practices, data integrity principles, and safety behaviors.

• Promote a professional company image through exemplary customer relationship skills.

• Refer customer inquiries, routing or schedule change requests, and/or complaints to the appropriate Account Manager.

• Ensure proper Sample Submission form protocols are followed.

• Suggest and implement continuous process improvement initiatives.

• Support laboratory-based functions including sample intake/preparation, etc.

• Perform other activities as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 25 years of age or older.

• Experience in Oregon Recreational Cannabis industry preferred.

• Skills: Read, write, and speak English; Microsoft Word, Excel, and email applications; must be able to program and follow driving navigation software.

• Abilities: Follow written and verbal instructions; work effectively in a collaborative environment, work independently. Demonstrate an ease with learning and use of internal system (LIMS).

• Other characteristics: Strong attention to detail; must possess excellent planning skills.

• Must have a valid driver's license, and be able to demonstrate a clean driving record

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Two (2) years of college education (preferably in a scientific discipline)

OR High School Diploma (or equivalent) and previous practical work experience.
