Your Contributions to the Team:

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for managing assigned accounts, which requires personal customer visits for the purpose of sales, customer service, and increased satisfaction. Accounts serviced represent our diverse customer base and include small, medium and large companies, bakeries, markets (all departments) and manufacturers. Overnight trips or long days may be required. Organization and creative thinking in regards to different sales tactics, account management, and developing price quotations is essential. The position requires effective communication between the Outside Sales Rep., the Inside Account Rep., the Sales Manager and Directors. Communication will be in the form of written and verbal reports, sales recaps, and phone conferences. This position is largely based on teamwork and requires a commitment to internal customer service. The highest level of professionalism is expected as this position reflects the actions of upper management and owners of the company.

What We Are Looking For:

Minimum 2 years of sales experience with a proven track record in account management.

Bachelor's Degree in business related field or combination of education and training. Sandler Sales training preferred.

Food industry experience preferred.

Positive can-do attitude. Confident, effective under pressure and results driven.

Professional, personable, friendly and a team player. Ability to create solid relationships.

Must be a great multi-tasker with great time management and organizational skills.

Must have a desire to make cold calls and the skills needed to convert them into sales.

Good memory, strong math skills (pricing experience preferred) and computer skills (experience creating and delivering PowerPoint presentations and able to type 40 words per minute).

Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

A good driving record clear of any accidents or citations.

High school diploma or equivalent.
