Your Contributions to the Team:
As the Senior Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for the scheduled maintenance and repairs on GloryBee's fleet of trucks (18), trailers (23), material handling equipment (forklifts, electric pallet jacks, dollies, lift gates, etc.), preventative maintenance, along with various other needs of the Maintenance Department.
As a highly skilled mechanic, your responsibilities in this senior level role will include:
Provides routine preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers excluding rebuilding of engines. This includes work on diesel freightliner day cab tractors, Detroit series 60 motors and 42' 53' dry trailers with hydraulic lift gates.
Reviews daily electronic DVIR for necessary repairs
Manages fleet PM program
Communicates and provides updates effectively to Transportation and Maintenance Supervisor regarding equipment issues and required repairs.
Ensures all vehicles are road worthy and prevents roadside breakdowns.
Completes all required documentation to ensure maintenance tasks are completed and documented.
Performs PM and minor repairs on all MHE to include lift trucks, riding pallet jacks and electric pallet jacks.
Maintains spare part inventory
Performs minor service and maintenance on in-house vehicle fleet, which includes Toyota Prius (various models), Ford Explorer and Toyota Tacoma's.
Scheduled shift for this role is Thursday - Monday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM with the ability to be on-call for emergencies after hours.
What We Are Looking For:
Minimum of 3 years' experience maintaining and repairing Class 8 tractors and trailers
Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean DMV record is required; Class B is acceptable to start - GloryBee will assist with the process to obtain a Class A CDL, if needed
ASE/AED Certification or equivalent, preferred.ÂGloryBee will assist with ASE certification, if needed
DOT air brake certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire
Certifications of training, preferred
Capable of working independently with little or no supervision. Ability to prioritize work with excellent time management
Having a "safety first" mindset is a must
High attention to detail and organization skills
Basic math, writing, and computer skills
Excellent trouble shooting skills and mechanical aptitude
Ability to lift up to 60+ pounds comfortably on a consistent basis
Flexibility to be "on call" for emergency repairs to the fleet after hours as needed
