The Systems Team at Breitenbush Hot Springs is seeking fill ins and a longer term temporary worker to join their team.
Summary:
The Systems Team is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the hydro-electric generator, backup diesel generators, domestic water filtration plant, geothermal heat exchangers, mineral water system, waste water system, and all of the associated distribution systems.
Essential duties:
-Walking up to 10 miles per day in all weather conditions over rough terrain. Bending, stooping, standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and accessing confined spaces
-This position requires the willingness and ability to be on call and to respond to after-hours emergencies.
Desirable skills and qualifications include:
-Oregon WD Certification; Cross Connection Certification and construction experience
-Familiar with one of the following: water line construction, general construction, and/or maintenance operations of a water or sewage utility.
-Ability to and knowledge of; installing, replacing, repairing and
maintaining water mains, valves, pumps, meters and hydrants. Operation of backhoes, trenchers and other industry related tools and equipment.
Additional Experience:
Systems Operator at a water or sewer treatment facility and/or general plumbing and/or electrical experience and/or mechanical skills, with carpentry/maintenance skills a plus.
Basic computer skills, collaborative communications skills, self-motivation, excels in a team environment, and able to function effectively in a guest service setting.

Let's cut to one of the most unusual parts of Breitenbush: almost everybody at Breitenbush makes the same amount of money. Currently that's $10.75 per hour, Oregon minimum wage. However, for the right candidate, our compensation package is very rich. Though it is hard to measure, many of us that live and work here relate to the total compensation package as feeling closer to $20/hour. Below is a list of benefits.
