Licensing & Contracting Specialist I - Velapoint

This position is responsible for the basic duties of submitting contracting paperwork and adding carriers into appropriate systems.

Assists the licensing and contracting team with tasks associated with the Quotit system and its integration with the Agent Cubed system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Reconciling license data between the two systems to ensure that products available to quote match those available in the applicable states.

Assists with various errors and agent requests that may occur as related to the integration between the two systems.

New agent appointments;Includes the initial submissionObtaining any additional documentation needed for carrier approvalFollowing up on delayed approvalsMaintain a log of communicationsUpdating appropriate systems once approvedAdd / Removing carriers from appropriate systems

Purchasing / submitting appointment renewals

FFM / State certifications / AHIP

Provide a weekly summary of accomplishments and outstanding items;

Handling emails and calls as assigned;

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Skills and Competencies :

Must be detail-oriented

Work well under pressure.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Flexibility with scheduling around business needs and excellent attendance.

Intermediate computer skills are required including familiarity with windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.

g., Excel, Word, and Outlook).

Must be able to work independently as well as thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, team environment.

Strong desire to bring best practices to the team, share your knowledge and expertise and enable your team members' mutual success as the organization continues to grow.

Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
