Oregon Tech is seeking applications for a Director of Advising and Retention in the Division of Strategic Enrollment Management. This is a 12-month, full-time position located on the Klamath Falls, Oregon campus. The starting salary is commensurate based on experience and qualifications. The Office of Retention is committed to the success of all Oregon Tech students. This office uses data and predictive analytics to guide the creation of new student success programs and initiatives. By working as a team with academics and student services, retention initiatives are designed to help students succeed at Oregon Tech.

Responsibilities include managing the Klamath Falls, Portland-Metro, and Online administrative advising teams and retention staff. This includes continually assessing processes, initiatives, and programs on campus in order to improve student success related to advising and retention. Additionally, the director is responsible for overseeing retention initiatives within the office that are designed to positively impact student success which is measured by first to second year retention rates and graduation rates. The director will hire, train and evaluate annually the full-time staff, as well as assist in student staff hiring and training. The director will work closely with other offices on campus to improve student utilization of services and to minimize barriers that students encounter.

Required: Masters degree and three (3) years of experience working with college or community college student affairs departments, student success and retention initiatives, and/or related areas.

Preferred: Experience with advising online students and five (5) or more years of experience working with college or community college student affairs departments, student success and retention initiatives, and/or related areas.
