SHIFT JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking for motivated reliable individual to fill the role of Guest Service Agent. The Front Desk Clerk is part of the front office staff of the hotel. They are responsible for the Checking In and Out, Reservations & Rates and the kind of services the establishment provides, and assigns guests to rooms.

The Front Desk Shift is from 7am- 3pm {AM} & 3pm-11pm {PM} &

The Night Audit Shift is from 11 pm to 7 am

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greet and Register Guests as they arrive at hotel Take Reservations via phone and in person

Maintain room availability

Answer guest questions and handle requests in professional manner

Inform guest about local places of interest and provide directions

Balance guest folios & Night Audit

Receive and process payment for accommodation

Work with a multi-line phone system & computer

Work in conjunction with all hotel departments (Pool. Housekeeping, Maintenance)

Be familiar with frequent guest programs Wyndham Rewards

Handle cash and make change as needed

Have the ability to understand and carry out instructions.

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain the appearance of theFront Desk, Lobby, Pool, Guest Laundry & Breakfast room

Make Coffee and other basic Breakfast Food preparation for Breakfast

Assist Housekeeping as needed

Perform other cleaning duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Excellent Customer Service skills

Ability to be welcoming and courteous to guests

Must be organized and able to multitask

Have strong interpersonal and problem solving skills

Ability to remain cheerful under stress

Maintain a professional demeanor at all times

Basic computer,reading and math skills

Skilled in typing / keyboarding

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Must be an outgoing, approachable and Guest Service Oriented individual

Must Pass Criminal Background Check

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

Food Handler's Card (can be obtained once hired)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

Primary worksite is indoors

Requires standing/walking most of the time.

Requires lifting up to 25 lbs

Need to be patient and tolerant even when guest are unreasonable

WORK HOURS AND SALARY

Desk Clerks are expected to be available to work Days, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays

Hourly position

IN ADDITION: Must Pass Background Check & Must Pass Drug Test
