Part-time Elementary Teacher
2019-2020 School Year

Job Description: This is a unique opportunity co-teach, part-time, with a highly qualified full-time teacher in a blended kindergarten-fifth grade classroom. This part-time teacher would serve as a source of instruction and support for students in our rural public school, four or five mornings per week. Specific responsibilities include supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas; developing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction within and beyond Common Core guidelines; collaborating with the head teacher, instructional assistants, administrators, parents, volunteers and students in addressing instructional and/or classroom needs.
The candidate must be licensed by the Oregon Teachers Standards and Practices Commission. Reciprocal state licensure is also acceptable.
Salary is based on qualifications, experience and actual hours worked. Hours may range from 22-29 hours per week. This position does not include medical benefits but does include employer-paid PERS contributions if candidate is PERS eligible.
This dynamic teaching position can be discussed and tailored based on additional talents that might lend to teaching in a mixed-grade rural school.
Pinehurst School District 94 is located 21 miles east of Ashland, OR on state-maintained, Greensprings Highway 66, in the midst of the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument at 3600 ft. elevation.
