Implementing internal Reviews of products and protocols to identify areas of weakness, and putting in place corrective measures
Preparing for and facilitating third-party Reviews as necessary
Assist in developing, implementing, testing, and administering SCFC’s compliance program to ensure organization-wide internal controls are in place.
Assist in procuring state licensing for direct and indirect business
Assist with the develop business plans as required by regulators, and implement regional business activities according to licensing requirements
Assist departments at various stages throughout program development of products and services to ensure compliance every step of the way, from research and development through drafting, marketing, and final approval.
Assist with implementation of regulatory changes into business operations in a timely manner
Assess compliance risk, correct compliance deficiencies identified by internal and external examinations, identify root cause of compliance exceptions, and develop corrective actions.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of financial regulation and regulatory training coordination
Experience in financial licensing
Knowledge of consumer protection laws and state laws
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Thorough knowledge of business model and how state regulators perceive our business model
Practical familiarity with legal requirements relating to compliance programs.
Ability to organize, analyze, and interpret data and make recommendations compatible with SCFC’s standards and regulatory requirements.
Working knowledge of retail lending products and originations processes
BS/BA from accredited college or university (Strongly preferred, but not required)
