Job Summary: This position is responsible for supervision of deli operations to ensure customer service standards are being met, quality and presentation are consistently excellent, and safe food handling procedures are being followed.

Qualifications:

● Experience supervising employees in a food service operation.

● Experience in the preparation and cooking of natural and organic food.

● A service-oriented individual with a high energy, positive and friendly demeanor

● Computer skills (Google Email, Docs, Excel, Word)

● Ability to communicate, train and reinforce performance expectations

● Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills

● Sound judgment, decision making and problem solving skills

● Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects tasks

● Current Oregon Food Handlers Card is required. (Please attach a copy with application)

● Comply with USDA, OSHA, and all other regulatory agencies

● Ability to stand throughout the shift and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

● Must be available to work up to 40 hours per week, any shift or day of the week including weekends and holidays

General Responsibilities:

● Ensure execution of manager direction in regard to customer service, quality assurance, compliance and appropriate attire.

● Assist in the supervision of the day-to-day department operation.

● Maintain safe working conditions. Train staff in safe working procedures and monitor on a consistent basis.

● Directly assist staff as needed in food production ensuring food safety and quality.

● Ensure lists are prioritized daily to ensure efficient operations & product availability.

● Ensure that all department products are fully stocked and rotated to ensure freshness and availability.

● Monitor and direct Deli employee’s and shift leader’s work. Redirect as needed for coverage.

● Orient and train new employees thoroughly as assigned.

● Maintain strict confidentiality about personnel issues affecting other employees.
