About the Program

Our Outpatient Program provides assessment and evaluation, treatment plan development, and provides clinically indicated outpatient therapy, case management, skills training, and psychiatric (medication) services. The Intensive Case Management team operates as a branch within the Outpatient Program, specializing in strengths-based treatment planning, and recovery-oriented case management that helps identify the individual’s service needs, and establishes and maintains community support systems and service coordination. Psychiatric services are provided both on-site and remotely through telemedicine.

Position Details

We are looking to hire for the Crisis Intervention Case Manager position at our Central Clinic in Medford, OR. The ideal candidate is a clinician who has a background in crisis or crisis intervention and who works well both independently and as part of a team. This position will provide outpatient recovery support services to clients suffering with severe and persistent mental illness; and perform daily tasks to assist clients with learning new skills of community reintegration, socialization and healthy lifestyles in a fairly independent work environment.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm

Additional Responsibilities:

Candidate will need to respond to crisis calls that are routed for triage and assessment and be able to assess situations quickly and responds appropriately to any type of mental health crisis to ensure the physical and psychological safety of clients. This position will provide a variety of crisis intervention or crisis prevention case management services via phone/video or in various community locations. Services will include, but are not limited to crisis supportive counseling, crisis case management, consultation, and care coordination. In addition, direct care staff must be willing and able to successfully complete our Verbal and Physical Intervention (VPI) crisis de-escalation training, which requires performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques. Some travel within our community will be required.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a flexible team player that has strong communication and organizational skills.

MUST be QMHA Certified through Mental Health & Addictions Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) -OR- MEET eligibility qualifications to register with MHACBO

State of Oregon QMHA credentials criteria:

a) Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science: Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or Human Development;

b) OR minimum 6,000 HOURS verifiable mental health experience working with Severe Persistent Mental Illness population in a supervised social service setting;

c) OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in addition to satisfactory supplemental mental health experience and training

In addition, TWO (2) YEARS of supervisory experience is highly preferred

Successful applicants MUST also have a valid Oregon driver’s license, maintain a safe driving record, and the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.

Pay & Benefits

Starting at $18.00 per hour/DOE and QMHA credentials.
