Medford Periodontal practice wanting to add a Dental Hygienist to our team. Initially 1-2 days/week but possibly 3-4 days/week if desired and with good performance. We are an ethical and science-based practice. We are complying with the Oregon state mandate for healthcare workers.
Covid Safety Measures:
-Strict screening of patients to qualify the safest patients
-Pre-appointment temperature taking and antibacterial/antiviral iodine rinse
-Chairside assistant w/ extraoral suction during aerosol procedures
-Patient masking when not being treated
Conducive environment to allow focus on improving lives and treating Periodontal disease:
-Office hours: M-Th 7:30-3:45; Fri 7:30-1:45 (Hygienist usually leaves a little earlier)
-1-1.25 hour appointment times; 5 patients per day maximum
-All appointments scheduled for you
-Dedicated naturally lit spacious treatment room
-Ability to choose background music along with patients
-Assistant provided for chairside suctioning and room turnover
-Piezoelectric ultrasonic scaler and input on hand instruments used
-Head lamp provided for use if needed
-Friendly collaborative team members
-Opportunity to learn and understand finer points of Periodontal treatment
-Commission-based compensation equaling competitive hourly rate
-With enough notice, flexible schedule; only present when patients scheduled
-With performance & loyalty: Paid CE, Simple IRA w/ matching, Holiday bonus when possible
Required & Desired Qualifications:
-Current Oregon Licensed Dental Hygienist
-Basic Life Support Certified & stays current with CE required
-Proficient at screening for oral pathology
-Able to deliver safe & effective dental anesthesia
-Scaling & Root Planing Proficiency (Able to complete 2 quadrants in 1 appointment)
-Comfortable w/ Debridement full mouth
-Experience cleaning implants is a plus
-Able to effectively teach approved oral hygiene techniques
-Capable of calming patients without using N2O
-Writes concise and accurate chart notes
-Open to learning new methods and treatment philosophy
-Willing to help other team members as needed for atypical tasks
-Spanish speaking is a plus
