PCL’s Cognitive & Behavioral Health Services Department has one opening for a Behavior Assessment Coordinator (BAC) to work with people with co-occurring I/DD/Mental Health diagnoses in Jackson/Josephine Counties. This position will serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team for a nonprofit agency. Work emphasis: developing behavioral support documents in accordance with the Oregon Administrative Rules and principles of positive behavioral support, development and implementation of presentation material, associated research, presentation development, and providing specialized training for staff and people supported.

Essential Functions, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to function well in a self directed work team

Active use of positive behavior support strategies and Person Centered Planning

Demonstrate active and ongoing learning and skill improvement related to the position

Self-motivated with strong time management skills. This includes the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while able to assess and address priorities

Experienced in the use of word processing program (i.e., Microsoft Word) and spreadsheet program (i.e., Microsoft Excel)

Strong written and oral communication

Experience in training and creative presentations

Ability to develop and present at small and large venues

Preference given to Applicants with the following:

Experience in developing and implementing behavior treatment or support plans

Knowledge and experience of the Oregon I/DD system

Certified to train the Oregon Intervention System

Qualified to bill for Behavioral Related Services through the State of Oregon

Supervisory & team development experience

Experience using Therap data based system

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old A Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Science field with 3 years of experience delivering Positive Behavioral Supports OR 6 years of experience delivering Professional Behavior Services (PCL may consider hiring an In Training position if there is an exceptional candidate who does not entirely meet this requirement)

Possess a valid ODL with an acceptable driving record (min of 6 months driving experience)

Be able to regularly lift a minimum of 50lbs

Pass a State/Federal criminal history check (fingerprints may be required)

Pass pre-employment drug screening

Pass a pre-employment computer skills assessment

Compensation and Benefits:Behavior Assessment Coordinator: Full time/salaried exempt position, starting at $4,000 DOE

(Behavior Assessment Coordinator - in Training: Full time/hourly position, starting range $15/hour)

Retirement, PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life for FT employees.
