Summary/Objective:

The Account Executive is a critical role within the sales department. The Account Executive works to satisfy customer needs and requests, responds to their queries in a timely manner and aspires to deliver a positive customer experience. Ultimately, this position exists to increase revenue by building successful, long-term client relationships.

Essential Functions:

Manage a portfolio of accounts

Proactively contact assigned portfolio of accounts to build rapport, maintain and grow relationships with new and existing contacts

Identify opportunities to upsell products and services

Professionally present services and company value proposition to customer

Utilize negotiation and relationship building skills to successfully upsell products and services to portfolio of accounts

Act as point of contact and handle your customers individual needs

Resolve conflicts and concerns and provide solutions to your customers in a timely manner

Conduct follow up customer service calls to customers after services are installed or products delivered

Generate sales reports each week and submit them to leadership

Report on the status of your portfolio of accounts and their transactions

Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales team goals

Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify growth opportunities

Possess a fundamental knowledge of our product and services

Maintain a culture of teamwork and camaraderie that promotes positive interaction within all departments

Need to be able to articulate ideas and thoughts verbally, and through written form. Exhibit good listening skills and comprehension of specific needs made by the customer and/or sales team. Keep others adequately informed by over communicating at all times. Select and use appropriate communication methods as required. Ask for assistance, support, or guidance whenever the customers expectations are at risk of not being met.

Customer Service 

Display courtesy and sensitivity towards the customers needs. Meet commitments, timelines & expectations made by the customer. Respond promptly to customer needs. Solicit customer feedback to improve service.

Respond to requests for service and assistance. Follow instructions. Respond to management direction. Take responsibility for own actions. Commit to doing the best job possible, while meeting attendance and punctuality expectations.

Job Knowledge 

Competent in the required job skills and strive for continued knowledge where applicable. Demonstrate the ability to learn and apply those new skills with each and every interaction with our customer base. Use whatever resources are required, effectively, consistently, and to full potential.

Organization Support 

Follow policies and procedures. Complete tasks correctly and on time. Support organization's mission statement, vision statement, and core values.

Planning and Organization 

Prioritize and plan work activities. Use time efficiently. Set goals and objectives. Work in an organized manner.

Responsibility:

This position is held accountable for maintaining the companys existing relationships with clients so they will continue to do business with us. The Account Executive serves as an interface between the sales and customer support teams with the ability to optimize communication, clarify expectations and increase customer satisfaction. The Account Executive serves to understand the customers needs, plan how to meet those requirements, and generate revenue for the company as a result.

Position Type:

This is a full-time position, and normal work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Expected Hours of Work:

As a salaried/commission based employee, your compensation is tied to results and not the number of hours you spend accomplishing them (minimum wage laws notwithstanding).

Travel:

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
