Anthology Woods is hiring for the position of Inside Sales. Anthology Woods works with leading, cutting-edge architects, designers and builders, supplying finished reclaimed and sustainably sourced wood products. Our product line includes flooring, wall cladding, siding, decking, fabricated components and furniture. We serve both the residential and commercial sectors and our client list includes companies like Google, Starbucks, LuluLemon, Fidelity, and others.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and inspired individual with a passion for wood and design, and an attention to detail. Attitude is more important than prior experience, however a well-rounded skill set and ability to multi-task will be required. The position will have a defined set of responsibilities but the day-to-day job may change and grow over time. We're looking for someone who can jump in and help grow the business.

This position is responsible for supporting our senior sales staff by handling inbound leads, new lead generation and marketing and administrative duties. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage their own sales territory after a successful training period. Compensation consists of a base salary and sales commissions, with unlimited earnings potential.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Deliver excellent customer service to our customers: designers, architects, contractors and homeowners. Develop and maintain these customer relationships.

- Have an intimate knowledge of Anthology Woods product line, application and installation methods, and the ability to educate our customers.

- Enter sample requests into our online system, pull required standard samples, and prepare for shipping to customer.

- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner. Help customers to the best product for their needs, gather the required information to quote orders, follow up, and either work in conjunction with senior sales staff, or independently close the sale and hand off to production team.

- Use CRM software to enter customer information, set and track follow-ups, sample requests, and project progress. Keep detailed project notes.

- Follow up with samples and qualify leads.

- Cold calling/emailing to develop new relationships. Placing sample boxes in new customers hands.

- Sales trip planning/development.

- Research strategic avenues for sales growth.

- Create short and long-term sales forecasts. Meet quarterly and annual sales targets/goals.

Requirements:

- Ability to quickly develop rapport and trust with people.

- Ability to communicate clearly on the phone, in person and in written communication.

- Computer skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM Software.

- Excellent math skills and the ability to calculate and convert typical units of measure relating to wood products (lineal feet, square feet and board feet)

- Good time management skills, a "self-starter" who does not need constant direct supervision.

- Desire to progress with the company.

- Some travel may be required.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

- A proven track record of prior sales success.

- Experience with and knowledge of wood products, woodworking, carpentry, or construction.

- Design background, knowledge and interest.

- College degree

Compensation:

Compensation is a base salary plus sales commission. Expected annual earnings should be in the $45-$80k range, and have the potential to grow over time. Anthology Woods also offers generous Paid Time Off (PTO) benefit, Group Health Plan, and a retirement plan benefit (with company match) after 6 months of employment.
