Kiwanda Hospitality Group (KHG) is a family of companies that includes Headlands Coastal Lodge and Spa, Shorepine Vacation Rentals, Hart's Camp, and the Inn at Cape Kiwanda. This position will service all facilities located in Pacific City, Oregon.
Position Overview
The Laundry Driver is responsible for picking up and delivering linen at all of Kiwanda Hospitality Group's properties, assisting in Laundry tasks in our Central Laundry facility as needed, and performing housekeeping duties to maintain facility as necessary.
Performance Objective
Laundry Delivery and Pick Up. You will transport clean linen bins from Central Laundry to the different KHG properties, and pick up dirty linen bins and transport them back to Central Laundry, all in Pacific City.
Laundry Operations. You will maintain labels of all laundry bins to ensure that linen and terry does not mix between properties. Weigh bins and fill out packing slips. Clean and sanitize dirty bins in preparation for clean linen. Check equipment functions properly and perform preventative maintenance on laundry equipment.
Laundry Tasks. You will assist the Laundry Attendants in operating and monitoring washing and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps. Help with folding cleaned articles into designated size. Make sure all cleaning supplies are properly labeled and used in the proper manner to ensure the safety of yourself and your co-workers.
Vehicle Maintenance. You must inspect vehicle for damage and cleanliness. Sweep and clean vehicle at end of each day. Check tire pressure and fluid levels for property vehicle, and refuel as necessary.
Education and Experience. Previous hotel related experience is beneficial and a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required. You must have a valid Driver's License.
Physical. You must be able to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and in excess of 25 pounds with assistance. Be able to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
