Position Summary:
The Housekeeping Lead supervises the lodging housekeepers in their daily duties. The Housekeeping Lead will be working directly with the Director of Housekeeping & the Front Desk to make sure that all rooms are ready on time and in great condition. As well as the Maintenance Department to correct any defects found in any rooms.
Tasks:
-Inspect all vacant arrivals for the day and update our reservation software, Maestro, with all vacant Ready Rooms. And communicate with the housekeepers what rooms need to be cleaned first for arrivals.
-You are responsible for ensuring the Housekeepers complete their assignments within the budgeted time, and inspect the rooms after the Housekeeper has finished.
-Perform Housekeeping and Houseman duties when needed. These duties may include: cleaning rooms, cleaning lobby restrooms, washing lobby windows, dusting, vacuuming and emptying trash. Also perform light duty Maintenance duties within your job description when and if needed.
-Ensure there are enough supplies for each day and complete a weekly inventory to give to the Director of Housekeeping.
-Communicate with the Director of Housekeeping regarding any urgent needs or any issues you as the Housekeeping Lead cant resolve.
Education/Experience:
High School Graduate or Equivalent. Previous hotel-related experience beneficial.
Physical:
You must be able to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and in excess of 25 pounds with assistance. Be able to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
