The Night Manager is responsible for the auditing, balancing and closing of accounts, accounting for cash and credit card transactions, reviewing all paperwork, posting, transferring and confirming charges and deposits. As well as responsible for the guests at the Inn, and capable of taking care of any problems that may occur during your shift.

Performance Objective

Execute a variety of financial transactions. This can be anything from verifying balances posted to accounts, verifying cash in the drawers and the safe, preparing a summary of cash, check and credit card transactions, posting charges to guests room accounts, taking payments, processing gift certificates or vouchers, or transferring money between different accounts. At the front desk different scenarios can occur, and you will be able to handle all of them due to your training and ability to solve problems.

Front Desk Duties. You will check guest in and out. Follow up on “checked out” guests with balance due on the account. Check to ensure the days cancellations have been completed, deposits & authorizations have been posted, transfers, refunds or forfeitures have been processed on the correct reservation.

Perform administrative tasks. Ensure that guest requests and information is documented and passed along to the morning team. Answer the telephone and make reservations when required. Taking breakfast orders from our guest and submitting them to the coffee shop.

Leverage your hotel experience. Be passionate and take pride in creating a first class experience for our guest. Utilize the different applicable skills you possess. Front Desk or cash handling experience, understanding accounting procedures, principles of auditing, balancing and closing out accounts. Even any education, certificates or degrees that you have can all help you be more successful.

Command of Microsoft Office. In order to track things such as room revenues, occupancy rates, housekeeping room status reports, arrival and departure reports. Or track cash and credit card transactions and run audits, we use Microsoft Office products. The Night Manager’s strong knowledge of these products will have a great impact on his/her ability to complete assigned tasks.

This is a full-time, year-round position eligible for benefits. We offer a schedule working four 10 hour days which helps to provide you with three full days off. Must be available to work within the hours of 6:00pm to 6:00am.
