About Programs

Bell Cove RTH/PSRB was built in 2013 and specifically designed as a 5-bed, licensed Residential Treatment Home located in Brookings, Oregon. Bell Cove is PSRB-designated program serving individuals who are affected by a mental illness and have exceptional medical care needs.

Driftwood Lodge RTF is a beautiful 8-bed mental health Residential Facility converted from an old fishing lodge with ocean views located in Gold Beach, Oregon.

Cedar Bay RTH is a 5-bed, licensed, Residential Treatment Home located in Coos County in the city of North Bend, Oregon. This program serves 5 adults discharged from the Oregon State Hospital. Residential care and treatment are provided to enable the residents to transition back into the community as regular and productive citizens.

About the Position

We have Full-Time & Part-Time opportunities available for Residential Associate positions at our Beckett Crisis Resolution Center in Medford, OR. If you have experience working as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Residential Assistant (RA), Residential Counselor, Skills Trainer, or Caregiving for a client suffering with mental illness (e.g. memory care unit at an Assisted Living Facility), then this position might be a good fit for you.

Work Schedules: Shifts Include: (Day), (Swing), (NOC)

This position requires that applicants have the ability to work as a member of a direct care team serving adults with severe and persistent mental illness; to support the development of life skills and therapeutic interventions; perform housekeeping and meal preparation; medication administration; and keep accurate clinical documentation. In addition, direct care staff must be willing and able to successfully complete our Verbal and Physical Intervention (VPI) crisis de-escalation training, which requires performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques.

Qualifications

MUST meet State of Oregon QMHA credentials by one of our following criteria:

a.) Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or Human Development

b.) OR minimum THREE (3) YEARS verifiable mental health experience working with SPMI population in a supervised social service setting;

c.) OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in addition to satisfactory supplemental mental health experience and training

The new OARs currently in development by the OHA will include the requirement for all unlicensed QMHPs and QMHAs to obtain certification through the Mental Health & Addictions Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO). At this time, they are offering a grandparenting window for those currently working in these roles. The grandparenting period is: October 15, 2018-July 31, 2019.

QMHA Certification: Grandparenting with a Bachelor's Degree:

Previously qualified QMHAs with a baccalaureate degree and 1,000 clinical experience hours (6 months of full-time work in a state approved program) can grandparent into QMHA Basic Certification (QMHA-C). Mental Health Interns qualified as QMHP operating under a variance with an agency collaborative education agreement must register as QMHAs. If you are certified as a peer or a CADC and you are designated as a QMHA, performing QMHA duties, you will need to be certified as a QMHA through MHACBO.

QMHA Certification: Grandparenting without a Bachelor's Degree:

Previously qualified QMHAs without a baccalaureate degree in behavioral health sciences, and 4,000 clinical experience hours (2 full time years of work in a state approved program) can grandparent into QMHA Basic Certification.

Pay & Benefits

$15.00 to $19.50 per hour, DOE and QMHA credentials.
