A Vacation Rental Property is looking for an experienced maintenance / handy person.
Part time $15 per hour.
A proactive employee with a great attitude needed.
JOB DESCRIPTION
I. Building Maintenance
1. Respond to day to day maintenance needs as they occur.
2. Develop and follow schedule for items that need maintenance on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis (changing furnace filters, cleaning gutters etc).
3. Repair items or equipment when able (includes proactive learning of ability via youtube etc).
4. Maintain an orderly and accessible work space in the building shop providing ready access to regularly used tools and maintenance products.
II. Janitorial
1. Regularly ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the public areas and passageways in and around the building.
2. Regularly empty all garbage cans and manage proper recycling.
3. Clean building windows on a daily basis (oceanfront facing).
II. Grounds Maintenance
1. Regularly walk the property perimeter assessing the grounds maintenance condition and current maintenance procedures.
2. Complete light landscaping / gardening as required.
3. Oversee the continuing organization, maintenance, and recorded inventorying of the storage sheds and outdoor tools / equipment.
4. Communicate needs, ambitions, and concerns to management.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Physical ability and stamina to lift, pull, carry, kneel, etc. in order to properly clean and perform routine maintenance.
2. Ability to communicate clearly and understand directions in English.
3. Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as receive and follow instructions.
4. Positive Job History references required.
5. Previous experience in property maintenance is strongly preferred.
