Knock Your Socks Off is looking for an energetic retail associate with excellent communication skills to join our fun sock store! Our associates not only help our customers find their perfect pair of socks, but more importantly form a genuine connection with every customer that uplifts their day.
We started this store to spread the happiness of socks, and are looking for someone who can connect with people and make their day brighter.
This is a year-round position. Compensation is a very competitive hourly wage. Please do not inquire about the position in the store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Connect with and provide exceptional service to all customers through conversations we want to be the best part of their day!
- Act with integrity and honesty
- Be able to work independently, take initiative, and work alongside owners to complete necessary tasks
- Use POS (point-of-sale) checkout system with high level of accuracy and follow cash-handling protocols
- Eager to learn about the different kinds of socks and merchandise that we offer
- Inspect and restock products in a timely fashion when new shipments arrive
- Ensure retail space is neat and inviting, including tidying displays, breaking down empty boxes, vacuuming, and dusting
- Packaging / shipping products to customers from our online store
Basic Qualifications:
- Keep regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work weekdays / weekends on a regular basis
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, stand for extended periods of time, and bend down/reach high to restock product
Required Abilities:
- Has strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
- Comfortable using touchscreen devices such as Android or Apple products, as well as laptop
- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to work as part of a team
