Pacific Tech Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable / Billing Specialist to join our growing team. We are a Washington State-based federal construction company specializing in roofing and general construction services for federal government, local government, school districts, and private industrial clients nationwide.
Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to manage billing, collections, and accounts receivable functions for our federal and commercial construction projects.
Essential Qualifications
Federal Experience Required:
Proven experience with federal government billing procedures and compliance requirements
Understanding of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) billing requirements
Experience with prevailing wage certified payroll and invoicing
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and submit accurate invoices for federal, state, and commercial construction projects
Manage accounts receivable aging and collection activities
Process progress billings, retainage tracking, and change orders
Ensure compliance with federal billing requirements and contract terms
Reconcile contractor payments and maintain detailed AR records
Coordinate with project managers regarding billing schedules and payment applications
Generate and distribute monthly AR reports and aging summaries
Maintain organized documentation for audits and contract closeouts
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years accounts receivable/billing experience in construction industry
Federal government construction billing experience required
Proficiency in construction accounting software
Strong Excel skills for tracking and reporting
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
Understanding of construction billing cycles, retainage, and lien rights
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, project teams, and subcontractors
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with multiple federal agencies (GSA, VA, etc.)
Experience with multi-state construction operations
