Weir ESCOs Product Manager manages a portfolio of products and systems with integrated sensing, computing, and digital solutions used to improve the operating efficiency of ESCO core products and industrial machinery; manages the portfolio roadmap with stakeholder buy-in; acts as key liaison between the global sales team and the engineering community transforming advanced technical solutions into easily understood and applicable value propositions, and communicating end users trends and needs to the engineering team in a prioritized format. Engages with Weir Digital group and other Weir divisions as needed to align projects and drive common objectives.
Job Duties:
Develop product roadmap aligned with divisional strategy, incorporating customer requirements, competitive intelligence, and market and regional trends, to achieve business goals and provide compelling value to customers
Technical steward, enabling product resolution and presenting technical solutions to a wide range of audiences including management, field sales, and other stakeholders
Collaborate with core product team to expand the offering into other size classes and product lines
Handle multiple projects; manage scope for on time and budget, while delivering the need for the relevant stakeholders; interact with engineering design teams on new product development
Actively engage with regional sales team, supporting the sales process and related activities for positive outcomes for customers, ESCO, and Smart Products.
Use relationships developed with client networks and contacts to advise sales and design teams of potential opportunities for product sales and service
Manage product specification and maintenance information, working directly with product teams and engineering for technical content
Monitor competitive data and benchmark; provide competitive analysis information specific to pricing and product
Coordinate with operational readiness team and supply chain on sourcing and re-sourcing of products
Supply product features to marketing for creation of marketing materials
Assist with product ROI analysis and recommendation on product line extension
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
Five+ years product management experience developing product strategy and managing portfolio roadmap
Experience working in mining, sensing, or integrated microprocessor-based systems in an industrial environment strongly preferred
Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% annually (domestic and international)
Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States
Success in this role requires strong business planning skills including expertise developing business cases to justify market expansion, product expansion, and potential acquisition targets; ability to develop comprehensive understanding of the competitive marketplace including key competitors strategies, market, activities, product performance, and pricing; excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be self-motivated and have demonstrated ability to influence peers.
