Pacific Community Design is a consulting firm in Tigard, OR designing communities for larger development companies in the Portland Metro area. We continue to enjoy significant growth in our business and are seeking additional professionals to strengthen our teams.

We are seeking a Civil Engineering Designer. We work in a highly collaborative environment, are proud of the work we do, and keep a positive work environment. Skills and Knowledge:

3 8 years experience, 4-year degree in Civil Engineering and EIT status. Excellent AutoCAD/Civil 3D skills. Excellent with engineering software and proficient in Microsoft Office.

Project Responsibilities:

Successfully completes regular assignments with little or no supervision adhering to established QA/QC guidelines and company standards, and seeks improvement of both. Responsible for complete construction sets, reports, quantity take offs and supporting calculations. Consistent willingness to accept assignments/tasks/responsibilities; "can do/will do" attitude. Actively involved in scheduling assignments to help avoid conflicts. Demonstrates ability for accurate and timely completion of routine work.

Participation:

Seeks continual improvement of the Engineering service at Pacific. Active involvement in company activities (training, forum) that support company goals. Mentors Staff I Designers and presents brownbags to cross train staff reinforce and culture of continuous learning. Pursuit of Professional status. Active in the Engineering or Land Development community. Consistently positive and professional representation of Pacific to peers, vendors, clients.

Communication:

Demonstrates effective, open, and honest communication skills with co-workers, supervisors, and work-related contacts. For non-routine assignments or tasks, actively seeks understanding of the project goals, scope, deliverables, expectations, and due date from the Project Manager. Confronts the issue, not the individual, learning to resolve conflict.

Business Development and Client Relationship:

Seeks interaction with client at any level to support the relationship. Solicits work from within Pacific (Project Managers), successfully completes tasks and assignments to maintain project goals and assist in meeting client objectives. Listens for opportunities to promote Pacific's services or attract great people to join the organization.

Reporting Relationship:

Reports to PM or Team Leader.

Location: Tigard, OR

Compensation: $20/hr - $26/hr + Benefits + Bonuses
