Are you one of them?The Lab Assistant (Maintenance Technician) supports the activities of Production, Development, and the Clinical Laboratories. The Maintenance Technician performs equipment maintenance and cleaning, qualification, assists in the development of equipment specifications and other equipment or facility related activities to ensure proper qualification, function and reliability. The role
Performs periodic preventive maintenance checks and service as scheduled and maintains necessary logs and reports
Decontaminates laboratory equipment, conducts routine quality control checks, as needed, on equipment (e.g. record temperatures) and reports unusual findings to supervisor or lead designee
Maintains cleanliness of the laboratories
Prepares equipment qualification/validation documents
Performs equipment qualifications
Maintains and monitors functional performance of equipment displays knowledge of most laboratory equipment including but not limited to autoclaves, incubators, centrifuges, analytical equipment
Follows all site safety policies/OSHA policies, including requirements related to personal protection equipment, as needed, to perform routine and non-routine duties
Performs related duties as assigned
Prepares equipment qualification procedures, or other documents in support of company operations
Performs equipment maintenance
Develops procedures to ensure equipment is operating within manufacturers specifications
Displays effective communication and remains calm and courteous under pressure
Orders, sorts, organizes, and stores reagent and laboratory supply and inventory stocks, as directed
Assists laboratory with cleaning of lab work space and equipment
Monitors temperature-sensitive equipment and water system
What you need
Minimum 1 year of work experience related to operations, scientific or equipment responsibility in a regulated environment with a strong working knowledge of quality system regulations
Experience in a medical device or pharma related setting
Knowledge of most laboratory equipment including but not limited to autoclaves, incubators, centrifuges, analytical equipment
