Job Title: Project ArchitectJob DescriptionSeeking a project architect with industrial/steel experience (fabrication, solid waste, heavy industrial, machinery, heavy equipment). Must have project architect experience on at least 3-5 industrial projects valued between $50-$200 million. The project architect will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and administering a major project or projects through all phases of development. Where applicable, they will give direction to assigned staff, establish and maintain budgets, schedules, and monitor adherence to contract expectations. Supervising and managing multiple clients and in-house project managers for all project phases

Utilizing collaboration software tools including Bluebeam and BIM360

Reviewing and assisting staff in setting budgets, goals, and preparing work plans

Reviewing and resolving issues related to staff and consultants

Analyzing profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, and utilization across projects

Negotiating contracts and fees with clients and consultants

Reviewing AutoCAD and Revit documents

Guiding and directing project team and consultants

Providing design input related to manufacturing or industrial process integration

Resolving plan check and approval issues with agencies and clients

Ensuring materials and systems meet standards and budget

Overseeing and resolving issues during construction

Writing and editing specifications

Managing client, team, consultant, and government agency relationships

Work SiteThis is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Portland, Oregon and some days remote.Work Environment12-person office in downtown Portland. Initial 90 days are 5 days in office (within this time frame can move to hybrid earlier with approval), then can gain approval for 3 days in office, 2 days WFH. One in-office day each week must be Tuesday. Allows '4 9s' and a ½ day on Friday (4 days at 9 hours each day and 1/2 day Friday), but consultant can work 5 8s if desired. Arrive between 6 am and as late as 8:30 am. Can take ½ hour lunch.
