Snow Bunny Coffee is looking to expand its team! Located at the top of the Pearl, our cafe offers classic cafe drinks as well as specialty drinks and snacks. Our requirements for this job are at least 2 years of previous barista experience, availability to work both weekend days, and a strong work ethic. Experienced Barista – Snow Bunny Coffee
compensation: $14 (depending on experience), plus tips
employment type: part-time
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicate proactively with managers and other team members
Accurately prepare a variety of espresso & coffee drinks per customer request
Follow and comply with all established procedures, recipes, and guides, including but not limited to assembly, health and sanitation, and general safe work practices.
Able to work in a high paced environment with a variety of customers’ needs
Maintain a sanitary and organized work environment.
Monitor proper storage and shelf life guidelines for all products.
Compliance and adherence to all appropriate health and safety regulations and cleanliness requirements, including food safety and department organization.
Knowledge and skill with a variety of equipment
Knowledge in working with a Point of Sale
Work with a sense of urgency and purpose to achieve daily, weekly and long-term goals.
Other duties as assigned by the in accordance with the needs of the business.
A team player attitude, willing to look for and jump in where needed.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
A passion to provide outstanding customer service ensuring that each customer leaves feeling valued and appreciated.
Must be able to work early mornings and weekends.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, this includes speaking and listening, with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
Upbeat and energetic attitude - yes, even at 7 AM.
Multi-tasker and who is comfortable juggling many customer requests and demands at once.
Prompt and reliable transportation.
2+ years barista, front of the house experience required
Understanding of proper coffee and tea methods, techniques, and standards to inform customers
Current Multnomah County Food Handler Card.
Strong attention to detail.
Be passionate about the food industry with a strong interest in high quality products
Efficient time management skills
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally
Excellent attention to details
Ability to stand while on shift.
Open availability and schedule flexibility is a MUST
