Job Title: Food Production Worker

Shift: 6am to 3:30 or 8 am to 5:30 (full time- shifts are open Monday through Saturday)

Wage: $15.50- $18 Depending on experience + Daily Chef Prepared Lunch and a Shift Drink

Job Overview

As a Food Production Worker, you will join a proud team in making the nation's most awarded salami, bacon, sausage, and other pork products. You will be part of a team that takes pride and ownership in ensuring our products are made according to our exacting standards while complying with the USDA.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

-Assist in processing raw meat and spices

-Ingredient preparation, trimming pork, and preparing products for cooking and curing

-Works in accordance with HACCP plan documentation, USDA guidelines, and DOH regulations (training provided)

-Perform job duties in compliance with safety programs for all plant equipment and personnel

-Proactively work to assist the team in achieving the department and organizational objectives

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements:

-Recent work experience in a food service or manufacturing environment - butcher or meat manufacturing experience a plus!

-A great attitude with a killer work ethic and very reliable (shows up on time)

-Cares about quality of work

-Loves learning new skills and refining them to become an expert

-Likes people and working with others

-Able to maintain an orderly and clean work area

-Basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

-Ability to carry out process-oriented work in a timely manner

-Able to work in cold temperatures (refrigeration at times)

-Ability to lift 50 pounds

What it's like working in a USDA Meat Plant:

-Come dressed comfortably- we will provide all items necessary to work in a USDA meat plant- including boots!

- It can get cold in the refrigerator so bring a sweatshirt, wear pants, and some warm socks.
