What you will do: The PDX Market Line Cook worker contributes to the successful day-to-day operations with connecting guests with Tillamook's premium dairy products. This position is responsible for preparing, serving, and maintaining the high standards of quality put forth by the foodservice guidelines. These responsibilities are to be performed timely and while upholding Tillamook's Shared Values to achieve the highest level of guest satisfaction and success as outlined by the business plan. The PDX Market Line Cook will report directly to the PDX Market Management Team and will be responsible for food service stations, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, adhering to all food and sanitary guidelines, as well as all other responsibilities directed by the management team.Here's a day in the life: Uphold the integrity of the food service guidelines with brand standards, techniques, and adhering to local and state law. Prepare all food orders quickly, correctly, and with the highest quality. Operate and maintain grills, fryers, and assorted appliances and kitchen equipment.Prepare food for service. Prep, date, rotate, and check temperatures of the product. Manage and track kitchen waste.Support the team with prep, set up, stocking, and any other tasks needed in preparing customer's orders and/or grab-n-go's. Appropriately stock all inventory for business needs. Restock items as needed throughout the shift.Label and stock daily/weekly orders from food service vendors.Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen equipment.Help keep the walk-in refrigerator, freezer, and supply area neat, clean, and organized.Keep and maintain a sanitary work area free of clutter and debrisRecord temperatures of all refrigeration and freezer equipment routinely. Notify the supervisor immediately if temperatures are not incorrect range.Complete opening and closing procedures.Establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, guests, and airport personnel.Assist manager and lead with various duties when proper training has been received. Act as a team player and be able to interact with staff at all levels of the company. Work with a team to provide the highest level of hospitality. Demonstrate excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision.Education and Requirements: High School Diploma or GED; 4-year degree from an accredited post-secondary school preferred Food Handler's Card certification 3 years line cook experience in cafe, QSR and/or full-service restaurant1 year supervisory experience - this is not necessary for a line cookServSafe Certification preferredAlcohol Servers Permit preferredPossess the ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as reports, procedures, and recipes.
