East Side Deli is hiring for our Commissary Kitchen.
This is not a chef type job. You do not need a large amount of culinary experience. Day in and day out we do the same thing. Its not hard but it needs to be done correctly every time. This will be a full time job after some training. We are not looking for Temporary / Part people at this time. Please do not apply if you are looking for something to get through until your old job starts up again. This is a long term position.
What we do at the commissary kitchen:
Make sandwiches for pick up and delivery
Catering orders
Slice and package meats and cheese
Prep veggies
Make lots and lots of Rice Krispy Treats
Make cookie dough
Make macaroni salad
Slow cook and shred pork
Pack orders for our other delis
Do dishes and clean things
Well that's mostly it.
Presently we are open weekdays only. Shifts are varying but earliest start time is 8:30am and latest we are ever
there is 6:30pm.
If you have sandwich, pizza or fast food experience, please upload your resume. Everything else we can teach you. Traditional chef skills are not required. This will probably start as part time 25 or so hours
a week while we train you but will switch to full time pretty quickly once you are up to speed.
