Receptionist's responsibilities:
Client Service Representatives are the first line of communication between our clients, doctors, and clinical staff. This vital role is responsible for ensuring warm, friendly, professional communication with our clients in their time of need. They provide clerical assistance to the hospital and emotional support to clients during high stress situations.
We are looking for someone who is confident and comfortable relaying critical medical and financial information with empathy and compassion and that understands the urgency required in emergency settings. The ability to multitask is very important in this role.
Tasks include:
-Inputting data to practice management software to set up client accounts
-Identifying potential emergencies in person and over the phone
-Coordinating the flow of pets and owners over the phone, in the parking lot, as well as on the triage board
-Responding to inquiries about the services our clinic provides; provide alternatives to clients if needed
-Processing payments
-Corresponding with clients via phone and email
-Communicating with other hospitals regarding patient transfers
-Preparing euthanasia paperwork and walking clients through that process
-Scanning and uploading documents into patient records
-Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Doctor’s Assistant responsibilities:
-Triaging patients in order of urgency
-Assisting Doctors with client communication
-Assisting technical staff with patient care
-Facilitating technician calls and client updates
-Animal husbandry
-Discharging patients and going over home care instructions
Preference for DA position given to candidates that have:
-Fundamental knowledge of medical terminology
-Fundamental knowledge of prescription and OTC meds
-Background in Vet. Med. or healthcare
-Basic computer literacy
-Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, reach, bend, crouch
-Excellent customer service skills
-Compassion and patience for animals
