Primary Medical Assistant Duties Include:
Assisting all providers with patient care
Facilitating patient flow, rooming patients
Obtaining history and chief complaint, and providing appropriate consent
Setting up and assisting with biopsies and select procedures
Phlebotomy
Removing sutures
Maintaining supplies and equipment, stocking, cleaning and sterilizing instruments
Assisting with biopsies and select procedures
Providing and assistant with accurate documentation and data entry in EMR
Assisting with prescription refills
Providing patient education
Triaging and returning patient calls promptly
Minimum Requirements:
AAMA CMA, NCCT NCMA and/or AMT RMA credentials
2+ years clinical experience
Experience with electronic medical records systems (EMR)
Necessary Skills:
Proven oral and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to effectively work as a team member
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and ability to prioritize
Well organized and excellent attention to detail
Quick on feet, calm under pressure and eager to learn and help
Highly flexible and reliable
Able to take direction with minimal supervision, and ability to prioritize\Committed to treat co-workers and patients with respect at all times
