Hello! We are looking for an individual who meets the following criteria:
- Must be able to lift more than 50 lbs, be on their feet, and comfortable working outside for 8-10 hrs a day
- Most work will be done in greenhouses, Candidate needs to be able to withstand a wide variety of Oregon weather conditions throughout the year (both extremely hot and freezing cold)
- When caring for plants at various life stages, one must be able to operate in small, awkward, non-fluid positions for a long period of time
- Need to be able to retain fundamental knowledge of tasks, assignments, and duties
- Must have willingness to learn and be motivated to proactively gain an understanding about the goals at hand
- Have a basic understanding about plants, nutrients within soil, and organic elements would be very useful (horticulture, botany, agriculture, or biology experience)
- Must be able to respect regulations and compliance with local and state regulations
- Must obtain relevant certification in order to obtain employment
- Must have reliable transportation
- Needs to be versatile, willing to handle tasks individually as well as working with a team. Keep in mind if immediate action is needed, tasks may be switched up and you will need to respond accordingly
- Start around 8 - 8:30 AM and able to work weekends for a total of 40 hours a week
- Understanding or willingness to learn of pest and disease management techniques
- Must be teachable, respectful, and have punctual timing
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
