Habitat Gardens is a landscape design and installation studio based in NE Portland. We are seeking a part-time landscape installer to join our crew.
Our ideal candidate will have at least one year experience in landscape installation, construction, design, nursery work, or garden maintenance. We are seeking a great team player who takes direction well from our project managers and designers on a wide range of installation projects.
Job duties include planting, pruning, garden maintenance, excavation, and assisting with hardscape installation, including moving large amounts of soil and gravel. Applicants must be able to lift heavy materials (50-100 lbs) on a regular basis.
Due to current precautions around Covid-19, this position must have their own transportation to meet at our job sites. Most of our projects are located on the inner east side, although we do work in all parts of the city.
Pay starts at $16 and depends on experience. Hours will be approximately 20-25 hours a week and could increase over time. Most work will take place between 9 and 5 pm and days are flexible week to week depending on our projects. If travel between job sites is needed during the day, employees will be compensated for their mileage.
