Project Manager / Designer
Soderberg Design is seeking an interior designer with 3-5 years of office experience to join our small team environment in a design and project management role.
Soderberg Design is an interior design firm located in Downtown Portland. Our work is focused on residential and commercial renovations, additions and interiors. We are looking for a motivated, organized, and clear communicator who would be comfortable in working in an open studio environment on a variety of projects and scales. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to conceptualize, document and realize designs in both the residential and commercial realm.
This position is a key contributor to all phases of design and will work directly with the lead designer. The person in this position must be able to communicate and develop design objectives both orally and visually and will be expected to manage and execute design document and coordination from predesign through installation. A degree in Interior Design or Architecture is required along with strong capabilities in the following are also required:
Autocad / PowerCadd
Construction drawings and details
Material sourcing and specifications
Visual presentations / Power Point
Familiarity with local showrooms and galleries as well as current market
The position is for 32-40 hours per week. Compensation includes vacation and sick time. Please response with cover letter, resume, and work samples.
