Position Bilingual Housing Case Manager Reports To Case Management Services Manager

Portland, OR 97201 Days/Hours Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Salary $44,098 Annually

Job Duties:

Maintain a caseload of approximately 30 very low-income seniors who are experiencing housing instability, with a focus on Spanish-speaking seniors.

Work collaboratively and respectfully with clients to develop effective housing plans to address immediate and long-term housing and healthcare needs.

Provide coordination and assistance with housing applications, advocacy, resources, and services that support clients and their housing plans.

Job Qualifications:

Experience working effectively with adults from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Minimum of one year experience directly providing social services, and one year using Spanish in similar setting.

Interest in working directly with people who may be experiencing a variety of challenges, including poverty, aging, homelessness, and significant health issues.

Advanced level of oral and written proficiency in English and Spanish.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Experience working with computers, databases, and commonly used software.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated understanding of the root causes of homelessness and unique challenges faced by seniors of color and other historically marginalized communities

Demonstrated ability to provide culturally responsive services to vulnerable populations

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred

Northwest Pilot Project requires its employees to have or receive the COVID-19 vaccination and the booster shot. Our staff is currently working a hybrid in-person/remote model but that may change based on COVID conditions. Technology and equipment needed to effectively work remotely will be provided.
