C&R Real Estate Services Co. is seeking a Supervising Community Manager for three historic apartment communities located in the Downtown Portland area www.serenecourt.com, www.2020buildingcr.com & www.forestviewpdx.com. This would be a total of 92 units. Your primary work location will be the 2020 Building in the Goose Hollow neighborhood. The Community Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of 2020 Building, Serene Court, and Forestview Apartments including marketing, maintaining property integrity, screening prospective residents, collecting rents, serving notices, developing reports and preparing agreements.
Responsibilities
Show available apartments and handle all details of move-ins and move-outs
Process potential resident applications and prepare lease agreements for those approved
Prepare and review all new resident files after move-in
Collect rental payments and make deposits/deliver rental payments to the corporate office
Report to C&R’s accounting department in the corporate office
Assist with the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and strategies
Inspect the property and all amenities daily
Oversee and supervise two Maintenance Technicians
Facilitate after-hours emergencies
Additional responsibilities might be given to meet property needs
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Two (2) years of previous Property Manager experience is required.
Multi-task and keep yourself organized while providing a high level of customer service
Strong organization skills with the ability to lead and direct others
Excellent marketing skills in order to competitively market the property
Able to coordinate vendors and track large capital improvement projects
Computer proficient and able to learn new company software
Knowledge of basic maintenance, painting, landscaping, and cleaning techniques including product use
Good verbal and written communication skills, strong active listening skills, and ability to understand and meet the needs of residents
Must have a current and valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, a clean driving record, and a reliable car to travel between properties.
Your workdays will be Monday through Friday with office hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. You will be provided a monthly cell phone stipend in the amount of $50.00. You will also be provided a mileage stipend amount of $40.00 a month to travel between properties. As a full-time employee at C&R, you will be eligible for health insurance the first of the month following 60 days of continuous full-time employment, PTO, paid holidays, and more!
