Dalton Management is seeking a full time talented Porter (Light Maintenance -Groundskeeper) to join our Royal Oaks Apartments!

Royal Oaks is a 114 unit property nestled amongst the trees in a park-like setting in the Garden Home area of Southwest Portland. Conveniently located behind Washington Square Mall, with easy access to HWY 217 and public transportation.

The successful candidate will be able to perform the following:

Attend company off site manager/safety meetings a minimum of four times per year

Attend on-site monthly safety meeting

Attend Maintenance Fair hosted by MFNW each year

Check in with community manager at beginning, middle, and end of shift

Clean common areas

Complete time card daily

Daily upkeep of all common areas as needed, i.e., trash removal in office, litter pick up, cleaning of garbage enclosures.

Fill out daily log twice per day – noon and 5 pm

Pool testing and knowledge of chemical use

Remove ice and snow as needed

Pressure/Power washing designated area as assigned

Walk grounds in front and backs of buildings

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

Ability to work evenings and weekends to maintain the swimming pool as required by health department

Carrying items up and down stairs

Daily upkeep of all common areas as needed, i.e., trash removal in office, litter pick up, cleaning of garbage enclosures

Develop professional working relationships with co-workers, manager and office staff

Driving

Lifting at least 50 pounds

Push and pull items, including dumpsters and appliances

Sit, bend, stand, and use stairs

Training of other technicians and porter

Requirements:

 Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable vehicle

 High school diploma or equivalent

 Basic knowledge of Oregon Landlord/Tenant Laws

 Understanding of Federal, State, and Local Fair Housing Laws

Weekly Schedule:

 Tuesday – Saturday

 8:30AM – 5:00PM

 $15-17/Hour DOE
