Hunting Department Sales Associate
Fisherman’s Marine & Outdoor is seeking an experienced Hunting Department and Firearms Sales Associate to join our Hunting Department. This role requires strong knowledge of firearms and strict attention to compliance with Federal, State, and company policies.
Responsibilities:
Advise and assist customers with selecting and purchasing firearms, ammunition, optics, and hunting equipment
Ensure all firearm transactions are conducted 100% in compliance with ATF, Federal, and Oregon state laws
Accurately complete and review ATF Form 4473 and related documentation
Assist with safe handling, storage, and merchandising of firearms
Provide product expertise and exceptional customer service to new and seasoned hunters alike
Maintaining department displays, stocking, and organization
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned to support store operations
Schedule:
Regular schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Some flexibility may be required for evenings or other days as business needs arise
Requirements:
Must be 21 or older and legally eligible to sell firearms in Oregon
Prior firearms retail sales experience strongly preferred
Ability to demonstrate safe firearm handling at all times
Must be detail-oriented and comfortable working with compliance paperwork
Retail sales/customer service background required
Weekend availability is required
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive hourly pay $16.50-$18.00 to start DOE
