Job Summary

The role of Information Technology Field Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting technical issues, providing guidance to local operations team and implementing solutions to problems with engineering principles. Partnering with Regional and location leaders to deliver value through expertly deployed technology solutions.

The Information Technology Field Systems Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining accountability of all the systems in production within their assigned locations. In addition, the Field Systems Engineer will have to travel to the locations to support major events, oversee deployments or new installs, do walk-through's, and/or when requested by the operations team.

The Information Technology Field Systems Engineer will report to the Regional IT Manager and the Location Director of Operations. The Information Technology Field Systems Engineer will participate in regularly scheduled conference calls and/or meetings. It will be his/her responsibility to ensure that tickets for his/her respective region are closed in a timely manner (whether they relate to POS/field systems or not). The Information Technology Field Systems Engineer will be responsible in keeping up with projects within his/her region and making sure that adequate (be it from Levy IT or the Vendors) support is available throughout the project. The Field Systems Engineer will keep up with administrative work such as turning in credit card receipts and other documentation/forms, etc. on time.

Responsibilities

Resolves customer issues in relation to maintenance and application of products
• Supports issues escalated by operations, provides technical guidance to the team
• Conceive and implement solutions to complex problems using engineering principles
• Partners with location and regional teams to identify technology gaps and system needs
• Supports major events and activations to ensure all systems are operating effectively
• Originates and develops analysis methods to determine reliability of technical components, equipment and processes
• Partner with client IT leads to smoothly deploy new technological functionality
• Ensures system are maintained to optimal levels
• Oversees the maintenance and care for technology assets
• Project manages technological deployment for new business openings
• Ensures compliance with PCI regulations
• Conducts training and coaching for operational managers on the effective use and care for technology assets

Experience

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional IT Support Services experience or equivalent
  • Experience with Windows Server netowrk administration
  • Ability to resolve client technical issues involving a variety of different technologies
  • BS degree in Engineering or other relevant disciplines
  • Must have knowledge of basic control system hardware, software & applications
  • Detail oriented and demonstrated understanding and discipline of applying engineering fundamentals.
