General Statement of Job
The Security Shift Supervisor manages overall field services, operations, and functions in assigned area including training, post reviews, Specialist inspections, emergency response, client liaison, post order compliance reviews and special projects as assigned. In addition, the Security Shift Supervisor is responsible for monitoring the safety and security of the client’s employees, associates and facility utilizing available technology and resources. All duties must be performed in accordance with client policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations. The Supervisor reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions
Oversee day-to-day operations of the department including staffing, training, evaluations, time management, and maintenance of department procedures
Delegate tasks to security staff to engage all team members in order to improve competencies and knowledge of functions, operations, and components
Operate and monitor computer workstations and emergency systems; administer and maintain process control systems and databases
Dispatch and coordinate response to security incidents and manage related investigations and documentation of said incidents
Respond in a timely manner to emergent events, issues, and client requests
Perform other related duties as required
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Political Science, Business Management, Emergency Management, or other business discipline highly preferred
Minimum 4 years in corporate safety and security supervision, law enforcement or military experience
Must possess and maintain state guard certification as prescribed by presiding state law, as well as all client requested certification; all documentation and fees are the responsibility of the employee unless otherwise noted
Site specific training will need to be completed within the first thirty days unless otherwise stated based on client or assignment of position
Must be flexible on schedule, including availability for weekends and holidays
Must have effective time management, communication, technical writing, presentation development, facilitation, organizational skills, project management, and leadership skills
Dynamic experience in crisis and incident response, focusing on ability to maintain calm and efficiency in high-pressure settings.
Must be a dependable team player with business maturity and enthusiasm with the ability to deliver high level of customer service
