Celebrating their 40th year, our SE Portland client specializes in selling high quality road equipment to the transportation industry throughout the Pacific Northwest. They are experiencing year after year growth and they are seeking an Account Manager. The territory has been well established, and it is prime for growing with the right person. The primary focus is territory management out of the Sellwood office in a highly interactive team environment, or on the road in the territory, achieving sales objectives and ensuring consistent growth through Consultative Sales by interacting with engineers and contractors for state DOTs, Cities and Counties. ÂOther areas of focus: Increase product specification rates through relationships with Engineers, Contractors and Spec Writers at DOTs.Optimize the RFQ processes at DOTs, leveraging relationships to win bids. Navigate government contracts at the state and local levels. Including approval process for entering into new contracts and contract negotiation. Internal team development and communication Develop fresh sales presentation materials Analyze territory and market potential to determine the value of existing and prospective customers; researching prospective customers.Plan, develop and organize team sales strategies and goals based on company sales goals per month/quarter Participate in trade shows and conventions The successful candidate will have strong and proven customer service skills and the ability to act as an integral part of a collaborative sales team, providing functional, technical and consultative leadership in developing and managing the companys territory, internal team, and customers. What else you need to bring to the table: Knowledge of specification selling, pull-through sales, RFQ/RFP process and surround selling.
