Fabrication Company is seeking an EXPERIENCED Fabrication Shop Foreman that has experience operating a fabrication/machine shop, managing multiple jobs and employees. The Shop Foreman is a leader, hardworking, dependable, self-motivated, has a clean driving record and can pass a drug screen test.

Job duties & responsibilities:

Review projects with Project Mangers to determine requirements and schedule deadlines.

Review drawings for accuracy before fabrication begins.

Coordinate procurement of material and consumables to maintain established schedule(s).

Assign work to shop employee's that is appropriate for individual skill level.

Coordinate deliveries and prepare material packing lists for deliveries.

Maintain open and direct communication with the field erector, whether in-house or subcontracted.

Plan and schedule production activities.

Forecast labor needs in order to maintain production schedules.

Maintain good quality of products and on time deliveries.

Working out the human resources as needed. Hire and Termination of shop personnel.

Troubleshoot machinery and product issues and consult with management to resolve.

Engage in ALL activities and/or production when we "need to get the job done".

Skills and Specifications:

Journey level welding experience with Structural and Ornamental Steel.

Minimum 2 years' experience managing fabricators and machinists.

Ability to behave decisively with good judgment.

Production background with understanding of blue prints.

Knowledge of metal fabrication environment (welding, QA, QC, material knowledge).

Ability to grasp complex concepts easily.

Excellent planning, negotiating, and organizing skills.

Great physical health.

Ability to motivate co-workers, colleagues and others.

Patient and confident.

Ability to operate in a systematic and logical manner.

Outgoing personality for meeting with contractors/clients/customers.

Experience working with field installation crews.

Proficient with computers and related equipment using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Detail-oriented and well organized, able to multi-task.
